Writing stories about dead bodies? o.0

Yep, there's a dead body laying in my room right now. It's pretty cool...

....
Just kidding! There are no corpses in my room. Unless Rebeccah put one in my closet after all... Nah, probably not... I don't even remember what that conversation was about in the first place...
Anyhow... I just looked over to my bookshelf for some reason and realized I never dumped my spider out when it died... so I still have a dead spider in a glass jar on my shelf. The first one was there for a couple weeks before I found this spider, and even then it smelled pretty bad. This one has been here for months.... Yeeeah, it definitely smells bad. I can't smell it unless I take the lid off the jar and actually try to smell it though, thank goodness. Not that I would know that from experience or anything. *cough* Er...

On another note... I kind of feel like writing a story, but at the same time I don't really feel like giving it the proper attention it would need to be worth reading. Plus I never finished editing last year's NaNo... but I'm leaving that one for a while. I have a couple ideas, but I don't know if I'll actually stick with them long enough to make it worth even beginning the story.
Not to mention I really only write fantasy (I guess I could try a different genre, but most of my ideas are fantasy, and I don't know if I could write a different genre very well), and I think Mom's not wanting me to read/write a bunch of that as much as I was. And I'm not really a fantasy nerd like I used to be... it's cool, but I like other stuff just as much or more now.
I can't really write anything that has to be fairly realistic, because I'm not very good at making believable human characters (not to mention the fact I can't write stuff that wouldn't be overly cheesy anyway). People are all different, and it's hard imagining how they think and figuring out how they would react to different situations. Especially guys. But whatever. lol

Eh, just write it. Who cares if it's not perfect? It's good experience, after all. =) How will you learn to write about humans if you don't write about them?

Totally with you on the fantasy thing. =P Even "original" worlds kinda start to sound the same after a while, I've noticed.
