Dare To Live

Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it. --Matthew 10:39

Those Who Read My Blog:

"There are only two things that are infinite - the universe and human stupidity. And I'm not so sure about the universe." -Albert Einstein

All that is gold does not glitter,

Not all those who wander are lost;

The old that is strong does not wither,

Deep roots are not reached by the frost.

From the ashes a fire shall be woken,

A light from the shadows shall spring;

Renewed shall be the blade that was broken,

The crownless again shall be king.

--Tolkien, The Fellowship of the Ring

"I wish the Ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened."

"So do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us."

-LOTR

With foes ahead, behind us dread,

Beneath the sky shall be our bed,

Until at last our toil be passed,

Our journey done, our errand sped.

--Tolkien, The Fellowship of the Ring

"It's all fun and games until someone loses an eye, in which case it's still fun and games but with much worse depth perception." - Shaun Micallef

The Road goes ever on and on

Down from the door where it began.

Now far ahead the Road has gone,

And I must follow if I can,

Pursuing it with eager feet,

Until it joins some larger way

Where many paths and errand meet.

And whither then? I cannot say.

--Tolkien, The Fellowship of the Ring

"Can't couldn't."
- Unknown

Home is behind, the world ahead,

And there are many paths to tread

Through shadows to the edge of night,

Until the stars are all alight.

[...]

Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,

Away shall fade! Away shall fade!

--Tolkien, The Fellowship of the Ring

"Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by it's ability to climb a tree, it will spend it's whole life believing that it is stupid." -Albert Einstein
